IDP has established 4 state-of-the-art rice mills in southern Laos’ Savannakhet and Champasack provinces, strategically located to capitalize on the main region’s rice cultivation. Combined, the plants have a milling capacity of 150,000 tonnes per annum, making IDP the leading producer in Laos, and a major glutinous rice producer for the international market.

Each plant is equipped with modern hot air dryers that are highly energy-efficient and with the ability to supply to the milling operation a total of 1,000 tonnes of paddy per day. With a paddy storage capacity of 40,000 tonnes at the mills, we ensure that production runs smoothly all year, without disruptions from temporary raw material shortages.

The milling section at each plant uses the latest production equipment, supplied by leading industrial machinery manufacturers, for the efficient and speedy cleaning, husking, whitening, polishing, grading and color-sorting of the rice.

With highly flexible packaging and consignment options, we can meet any and all specific customer requirements. Packing capacities range from 1Kg to 1 ton big bags, or even bulk consignments, and a high loading capacity enables us to manage up to 80 containers in one shipment.

Consistency in the quality of our product is top priority and we have built and trained a highly professional QC Department of 20 people to achieve this. The production line is permanently monitored 24/7, allowing us full control of our product specifications.

Each mill has been professionally designed and laid out to exacting international standards including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
